About the church

Sevalla kyrka in the community of Sevalla belongs to Tillberga parish in the Diocese of Västerås. Until 1 January 2006 the church belonged to Sevalla parish.

The church was built in 1821 to replace a 13th-century church that stood a few hundred metres away. It follows the neoclassical style and has to a large extent kept its appearance since it was built. The interior, too, is well preserved from the decades following the consecration, including the only fully preserved organ by Anders Petter Halld’n, from 1854.
