About the church
Viksängskyrkan is a church building in the Viksäng district of Västerås. Since 2014 the church has belonged to Viksäng parish and the Diocese of Västerås. It was originally built in 1912 as a soldiers' home for the Västmanland Regiment in the National Romantic style. Much of the church's exterior has been preserved from that time, but the interior has been greatly changed since it became a district church fifty years later.
