Veckholms kyrka

Veckholms kyrka lies 20 kilometres south-east of Enköping and is called "the cathedral of Trögden". It was built in the 12th century and has since been extended during several periods. The most remarkable feature of the church is the altarpiece, made in Brussels in the 16th century.

Veckholms kyrka is a yellow medieval church in Enköping Municipality, by Norra Björkfjärden, which is part of Lake Mälaren. The church belongs to Veckholm parish in the Diocese of Uppsala. Of the churches in Trögden, Veckholms kyrka is the most distinguished, and during a visitation by Archbishop Nathan Söderblom it was called "the cathedral of Trögden".
