About the church
Västeråkers kyrka is a church building in the Diocese of Uppsala. The church belongs to Västeråker parish in Balingsta pastorate. On a hill north of the church stands the bell tower from 1766. Outside the churchyard wall stand two runestones. On the right-hand side stands U 846, which formerly lay as a threshold stone outside the porch. Next to it on the left-hand side stands U 847, which had formerly been the threshold stone between the porch and the church.
