Mälarhöjdens kyrka is a popular gathering place for weddings, baptisms and confirmations. The church lies in the middle of Mälarhöjden, up on the hill above the metro. The initiative for the church was taken by the residents of Mälarhöjden themselves, who in an appeal expressed a wish for a church.

About the church
Mälarhöjdens kyrka is a church building belonging to Hägersten parish in the Diocese of Stockholm. The church lies in the Mälarhöjden district of Stockholm, above Mälarhöjden metro station. In 1984 the church was handed over by the Mälarhöjden church foundation to Hägersten parish. Mälarhöjdens kyrka is protected under Chapter 4 of the Swedish Cultural Monuments Act (lagen om kulturminnen).
