About the church
Essinge kyrka (also Försoningens kyrka, the Church of Reconciliation) is the parish church of Västermalm parish and stands on the second-highest point of Stora Essingen. The church was designed by the architect Cyrillus Johansson and consecrated on Thanksgiving Day 1959. Since April 1990 the complex has been an ecclesiastical cultural monument.
