Ventlinge kyrka

In Ventlinge stands the most modern church on Öland. It lies beside the main road in the middle of the farming village and borders the alvar heathland to the east. The waves of Kalmarsund can be heard from the church grounds. Just to the south lies the community of Grönhögen with its fishing harbour and, nowadays, golf course. The district has lived on fishing and the stone industry since the Middle Ages.
