Nättraby kyrka

Nättraby kyrka, dating from the 12th century, is one of the few surviving medieval churches in Blekinge. It is built in the Romanesque style of rendered granite and fieldstone. Three of the original parts remain: nave, chancel and apse.

About the church
Nättraby kyrka is a church building belonging to Nättraby-Hasslö parish, in the Diocese of Lund and Karlskrona Municipality. It stands centrally in Nättraby, east of the Nättrabyån river. In summer you can take the boat Axel from central Karlskrona up along the Nättrabyån to the church, where the boat moors on the other side of the bridge, opposite the church. Several well-known people are buried in the churchyard, among them the shipbuilder Colonel Johan Aron af Borneman and the farmer Vittus Andersson, who was buried in 1688 and over whose grave a memorial stone has been erected. A belfry from 1786 stands on a hill outside the churchyard.
