Trefaldighetskyrkan

The church is also called Tyska kyrkan (the German Church) because until 1846 it was the church of Karlskrona's German congregation. It was consecrated in 1709. The architect was Nicodemos Tessin the Younger, and the church is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ceiling painting was executed by the sculptor Johan Törnström and his son Emmanuel Törnström.

About the church
Trefaldighetskyrkan (the Church of the Holy Trinity) in Karlskrona is situated south of Stortorget in the middle of the town and was designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger. The church is an octagonal central-plan church with a domed roof, and towards the square it presents a mighty portico with four columns. The church belongs to Karlskrona-Aspö parish.
