About the church
Tingstads kyrka is a church building in the historical parish of Tingstad in Norrköping Municipality. It belongs to Norrköping S:t Johannes parish in the Diocese of Linköping.
The church is medieval and was probably built during the first half of the 13th century, but has been extended over the centuries, including in 1769, when the tower was added, and in the 1860s, when the exterior of the nave was altered. An indulgence letter from 1442 states that Tingstads kyrka was originally dedicated to Saint Olof.
