About the church
Sankt Johannes kyrka is the parish church of Norrköping S:t Johannes parish in Norrköping Municipality in the Diocese of Linköping. It stands in the district of Klingsberg, where Hagebygatan crosses over Söderleden in Norrköping.
The church was built in the Neo-Gothic style in 1904–1906 to designs by the city architect Karl Flodin. It was consecrated in 1906 and replaced the earlier S:t Johannis kyrka, whose most recent building was erected in 1827 in central Norrköping and which in the early 1900s was deconsecrated and converted into the concert hall Hörsalen.
