Sånga kyrka

Sånga kyrka is incredibly beautifully situated on a headland, now surrounded by farmland. When the church was built there was a bay of Lake Mälaren here, and the water reached almost all the way to the churchyard wall.

About the church
Sånga kyrka is a church building belonging to Färingsö parish in the Diocese of Stockholm. The church is centrally located on Färingsö, on a hill near Igelviken. The country road between Stockholm and Färentuna runs alongside. When the church was newly built it was easily accessible through a strait that divided Färingsö into two parts.
