About the church

Vårby gårds kyrka is a church building at Vårby allé 5 in Vårby gård in Huddinge Municipality. It is the parish church of Flemingsberg-Vårby parish in the Diocese of Stockholm, and lies next to a Viking Age burial ground on a slope down towards Lake Mälaren.

The church was consecrated on 25 May 1975 by Bishop Ingmar Ström and has been protected under the Heritage Conservation Act since 1990. It is regarded as one of the first postmodern buildings in Sweden, characterised by colourful and imaginative architecture. Services are held in the church in several languages.
