Närtuna kyrka

The oldest parts date from the 13th century. The medieval tower was rebuilt in 1791. Communion cloth from the 14th century and bridal cloth from the 17th century. The organ was built by Per Strand the Elder in 1819.

About the church
Närtuna kyrka is a church building in Närtuna in Norrtälje Municipality in the Diocese of Uppsala and belongs to Närtuna parish. The church stands in a strategic location by the former Långhundraleden, which was an important waterway between the sea and Uppsala. The churchyard is surrounded by a fieldstone wall from the 18th century. North of the church lies the former vicarage, a log building with a gabled roof built in 1827.
