About the church
Orkesta kyrka belongs to Vallentuna parish and lies on a hilly plain surrounded by forests and farmland. In the parish lies Lindholmen farm, which in the late Middle Ages was owned by the House of Vasa. According to tradition, it was here that Gustav Vasa was baptised.
