About the church
Lida idrottskyrka (Lida Sports Church) is a church building located in the Lida outdoor recreation area in Botkyrka Municipality. The church is situated on a slope down towards the lake Getaren. The church was originally run by the Friluftsfolkets Gudstjänstkommitté (Outdoor People's Service Committee) in cooperation with Botkyrka parish, but is today owned entirely by Botkyrka parish.
Lida idrottskyrka has no regular services, but is opened in connection with other activities in the recreation area. The church is, however, popular for baptisms and weddings.
