The church is a neighbourhood church and was consecrated in 1975. The architect was Anders Berglund from Värnamo. The church interior is modern and airy. Here there are movable chairs instead of pews. The church interior is beautifully decorated with, among other things, a stoneware cross made by Alf Jarnestad, Karlskrona.

About the church
Kungsmarkskyrkan is a church located in Kungsmarken in Karlskrona. Construction began in 1974 and the church was consecrated the following year, on 2 August 1975, amid strong protests from the pupils of Sunnadalskolan, who had previously used the land for recreation. The architect was Anders Berglund, Värnamo. The church seats about 250 people.
The cross inside the church hall is made of ceramic by the Karlskrona artist Alf Jarnestad. Besides the church hall itself there are large areas for general activities, parts of which have long been used by the pupils of Sunnadalskolan as a kind of extra common room.
