Ås kyrka

In the far south of Öland lies the old parish of Ås. The Öland deer park establishment still dominates here. The King's deer can be seen running across the fields towards Ottenby lund. Öland's southernmost and only surviving church with an east tower. Only a few churches in Sweden have the tower placed precisely in the east.
