Vrena kyrka

The interior originally had a vaulted wooden ceiling, a so-called barrel vault. Towards the end of the 15th century this was replaced by two star vaults resting on sturdy brick pillars. Like a colourful tent stands the painted chancel vault. The chancel window, which was half bricked up in the 19th century, was restored to its original condition in 1961.
