About the church
Sankt Nicolai kyrka is a church building in Nyköping in the Diocese of Strängnäs. It is situated on Stora torget and is the parish church of Nyköping parish.
In the church tower there is a carillon that plays four times a day, at 9, 12, 15 and 18 o'clock.
In 1719 the church was burnt down by the Russians towards the end of the Great Northern War.
