About the church
Viklau kyrka is a church building in Viklau parish on Gotland. Until 1 January 2006 the church belonged to Viklau parish, which was then merged into Vänge parish. Viklau is perhaps best known for the so-called Viklau Madonna, a wooden sculpture from the 12th century, which is now kept at the Swedish History Museum (Historiska museet) in Stockholm.
