One of the younger-looking churches on the island. After a fire, and also because of a growing population, the church was extended in the mid-19th century.

About the church
Fårö kyrka belongs to Fårö parish and lies almost in the middle of Fårö in northern Gotland. On the east side of the church runs the main road between Broa and Fårö Lighthouse. Ingmar Bergman is buried in the churchyard.
