About the church
Vendels kyrka is a church building in the historic parish of Vendel in Tierp Municipality. It is the parish church of Vendel-Tegelsmora parish. It lies just under 40 km north of Uppsala, 18 km north of Björklinge and 10 km south of Örbyhus. The church stands on the crest of Vendelåsen with a view over the surrounding plain. This is an old settled district, and many archaeological finds have been made in the surroundings.
