About the church
Vasakyrkan is a church building in Kalmar in the Diocese of Växjö. It is the parish church of Vasakyrkan parish. The congregation is organised like a mission society but in practice functions as a parish of its own within the Evangelical Fatherland Foundation (EFS). In 1872 the Kalmar Evangelical Lutheran Mission Society was formed, and in 1878 the society applied for membership in EFS.
