About the church
Tyresö kyrka is the parish church of Tyresö parish in the Diocese of Stockholm. The building lies about a hundred metres north-west of Tyresö slott (castle) in Tyresö Municipality. The church was consecrated on 9 March 1641, and the first service held in the church was the funeral of the builder, Gabriel Oxenstierna himself. Tyresö kyrka is an ecclesiastical cultural heritage building, having been built before the end of 1939.
