Tacksägelsekyrkan in Trångsund was first called Trångsunds kyrka and was consecrated on Thanksgiving Day in 1957. The church stands on a hillock near the centre of Trångsund. Next to the church is a peaceful and beautiful urn cemetery, consecrated in 1990, where the feeling of nature and wooded hillside has been preserved.

About the church
Tacksägelsekyrkan ("the Thanksgiving Church"), sometimes also called Trångsunds kyrka, is a church within the Diocese of Stockholm. It was designed by the architect Sture Frölén and consecrated in 1957 in connection with the expansion of Trångsund into a built-up area. In 1974 it became the parish church of the newly formed Trångsund parish, which had been separated from Huddinge parish. Beside the church there is also a memorial grove and a small burial ground. Tacksägelsekyrkan was the parish church until Mariakyrkan in Skogås was consecrated in 1987, and thereby took over the role as the new parish church.
