Svarteborgs kyrka

The existing chancel section dates from 1708, and the wooden tower from 1757. Unusually, there is said to have been a doorway on the west side of the church from the 13th–14th centuries, unusual because it was more common for medieval churches to have their entrance in the wall of the nave, on both the south and the north side. Above the entrance there was a sculpture of S:t Olav, which is now kept at Bohusläns museum.
