Bärfendals kyrka

The masonry church in Romanesque style is considered one of the oldest still in use in Bohuslän, built in the middle of the 12th century. Almost no rebuilding has taken place here; this is largely the same church building that was already named Berofiardardals kirkia by Bishop Eystein in 1391. The greatest change took place in 1725, when a large part of the south wall was rebuilt and the large windows were opened up. The wooden tower was added as late as 1868 and the sacristy dates from 1932.
