About the church
Skålleruds kyrka is a church building that belongs to Skållerud parish in the Diocese of Karlstad. It lies in the church village of Skållerud in Mellerud Municipality.
The church site, which is probably of medieval origin, lies on a height at the northern end of Lake Nären. The church is a popular wedding church and in 2004 was named the most beautiful church of the year by the magazine Året Runt.
