About the church
Sankt Pauli kyrka is a church building in Malmö in the Diocese of Lund. Since 2014 it has been the parish church of Malmö S:t Johannes parish. The church is a hexagonal central-plan church in yellow brick. It was designed by Emil Viktor Langlet, construction began in 1879 by master builder Mortensen, Malmö, and it was completed in 1882. The interior was richly decorated by master painter Borggrén. The church has a tower in the middle. This tower is surrounded by a total of 12 smaller towers. The church interior is very spacious. Beneath two of the five galleries a baptismal chapel and a devotional chapel have been fitted out. The church's stained-glass windows were added in the 1950s. To the south-east of the church lie the northern, middle and southern cemeteries of Sankt Pauli.
