About the church
Ransäters kyrka is a church building in Ransäter in Värmland and is one of the parish churches of Forshaga-Munkfors parish in the Diocese of Karlstad.
The church is built of wood and was consecrated on Candlemas Day 1986. Externally it resembles Ransäters gamla kyrka ("Ransäter Old Church") from 1672, which was built on the initiative of the ironworks owner Johan Börjesson Carlberg and burned down on 6 December 1983, but it is somewhat smaller than the old church. The new church was designed by Jerk Alton and has paintings by Sven-Bertil Svensson.
In the churchyard outside the church, the politician Tage Erlander and his wife Aina are buried, among others.
