Even today there are beautiful paintings on the walls of the church, painted in the 15th century by the Passion Master. The sandstone baptismal font dates from 1735.

About the church
Norrlanda kyrka is a church building on Gotland belonging to Gothem parish in the Diocese of Visby. The church is situated on a gravel plateau east of a now drained and cultivated marshland, the kyrkmyren ("the church bog"). Two medieval lychgates survive, of which the northern one has a special design, with the pointed-arched vault divided in the middle by an arcade wall with one larger and one smaller opening. South-east of the church, a medieval vaulted farm gateway (demolished in 1899) was rebuilt in 1971.
