Mjölby kyrka

In 1771 the old church and the churchyard were destroyed, together with the furnishings, in a great fire. The new church was consecrated in 1779. The windows of the chancel are adorned with stained glass from 1968.

About the church
Mjölby kyrka belongs to Mjölby parish in the Diocese of Linköping and is centrally located in the urban area of Mjölby. The church was consecrated in 1779. After an extensive renovation of both exterior and interior, the church reopened in October 2007. The church interior is characterised by stained glass from 1968-1969.
The church stands in a churchyard that is terraced towards the west and south. Just west of the churchyard the river Svartån flows past.
