The medieval church was rebuilt in the 1770s. Among the furnishings are a crucifix from the 14th century, an altar cabinet from the 15th century and a baptismal font made in 1658 by Michael Hacke.

Sya kyrka is a church building belonging to Vifolka parish in the Diocese of Linköping. The church is located on a hill on the outskirts of the community of Sya in Mjölby Municipality. North-west of the church lies the Svartån river and to the south-west the Hydingebäcken stream.
