About the church
Ludvika Ulrika kyrka is a church building in Ludvika. It is the parish church of Ludvika parish in the Diocese of Västerås.
The church was consecrated on 23 October 1752 as a chapel of Grangärde kyrka. When Ludvika became a parish of its own in 1863, Ludvika Ulrica became the parish church.
Ludvika Ulrika kyrka replaced a small wooden chapel from 1652 at Kapellhagen near Hammarbacken, on the north side of Ludvika ström. The pulpit from that chapel is still preserved in Mockfjärds kyrka. The churchyard was created when the church was granted burial rights in 1782.
The funeral service for Dan Andersson was held in the church in 1920.
