About the church
Kalmar domkyrka is located at Stortorget on Kvarnholmen in Kalmar and is the parish church of Kalmar domkyrkoförsamling (Kalmar Cathedral Parish). It belongs to the Diocese of Växjö; the Diocese of Kalmar ceased to exist in 1915, but even after the merger of the dioceses the church retains its formal status as a cathedral.
