About the church
Hörnefors brukskyrka is a church building in Hörnefors parish in the Diocese of Luleå, originally built in 1796 by the owners of Hörnefors ironworks. The church is regarded as one of the best preserved from this period in the diocese, especially as regards its interior. It is owned by the Hörnefors bruk foundation and is used in summer. As a parish church the ironworks church was replaced in 1908 by the newly built Hörnefors kyrka. Since 1983 the ironworks church has been a listed building.
