About the church
Håtuna kyrka is a church building belonging to Bro parish in Upplands-Bro Municipality and the Diocese of Uppsala. Until 2010 the church belonged to Håtuna parish, which was then merged into Bro parish. The church is located on the slope of a ridge by county road 269, which is the old highway Stockholm-Häggeby-Skoklosters kyrka. In the Middle Ages the church had a connection with Lake Mälaren, as Håtunaviken extended further inland. Here lay the old royal seat of Håtuna, which in 1311 was sold to Uppsala domkyrka by King Birger.
