Welcome to Hammarö kyrka, Värmland's only medieval wooden church and one of Sweden's 11. The oldest parts of the present church date from the early 14th century. It is known that there was a church here as early as the 13th century.

About the church
Hammarö kyrka is a shingle-clad log church that belongs to Hammarö parish in the Diocese of Karlstad and is located in Hammarö Municipality in Värmland. The church lies just west of Lövnäs and south of Hammars udde on the northern shore of the island of Hammarö. It is about three kilometres east of central Skoghall.
