Glemminge kyrka

Glemminge kyrka was designed by the architect Peter Boisen from Ystad in brick in a Gothic-imitating style. The new church was consecrated in 1900 and replaced a 12th-century church. Until 2020 the church had a tall spire, but it was in danger of collapsing. A new, lower roof, designed by the architect Erika Martin, was completed in 2023 and gave the church a completely new appearance.

About the church
Glemminge kyrka is a church building in Glemmingebro that belongs to Löderup parish and was formerly the parish church of Glemminge parish.
The church is built of brick in the Neo-Gothic style with a tower and a three-sided chancel. It was designed by Peter Boisen and consecrated on 31 July 1900. It then replaced a medieval church from the 12th century that had been built in the Romanesque style.
In the church there is a stone baptismal font from the 12th century and a newer one in wood from 1739.
