About the church
Gillhovs kyrka is a church building in the village of Gillhov. It belongs to Hackås parish in the Diocese of Härnösand. The villagers built the wooden church in 1864 and 1870. The master builder Johan Nordell from Gävle directed the work. The church is 24 metres long and seats 144 people.
The altarpiece was made by the sculptor Johan Edler the Younger. The organ was built in 1894 by the organ builder Anders Christian Anton Schuster, Östersund (1850-1911).
