About the church
Gustaf Vasa kyrka is the parish church of Gustaf Vasa parish in the Diocese of Stockholm, consecrated on 10 June 1906. It is located in the Syrenen block in Vasastaden in central Stockholm and construction began in 1901 following a division of Adolf Fredrik parish. The church stands in an open setting at Odenplan and occupies an entire block between Odengatan, Karlbergsvägen, Upplandsgatan and Västmannagatan. It was designed by the architect Agi Lindegren.
