Boo kyrka from 1733 is the best-preserved Carolean church in Örebro County. The panelled, log-built, cruciform church is an important element of the cultural environment of national interest around Boo slott. The church's austere and simple interior gives an old-fashioned impression.

About the church
Bo kyrka belongs to Sköllersta parish, Diocese of Strängnäs, and Hallsberg Municipality, Sweden.
The church was built in 1733 by the owner of the Boo entailed estate (fideikommiss), Field Marshal Hugo Johan Hamilton, "out of concern for the common people in the southern and south-eastern parts of Svennevad parish (historical), who had a long way to the parish church". Bo thereby became a chapel parish under Svennevad and only in 1883 its own pastorate.
The cruciform wooden church is almost entirely untouched since the time it was built. Originally it was painted red, but since the early 19th century it has been painted greyish white. In the interior only two changes have been made since it was built.
These are an organ in 1764 and the construction of a gallery in the north transept arm during the latter part of the 18th century.
Among the furnishings, a number of older chandeliers stand out, as does the sandstone baptismal font. It is originally from the Middle Ages and was used for many years as an ornament in the park of Boo slott. Its origin is unknown.
In the bell tower, also built in 1733, hang two bells. The large bell, cast in Örebro in 1747 by Petrus Petraeus, and the small bell, cast in Stockholm in 1733 by Eric Näsman.
