About the church
Verums kyrka is a church building in Verum. It is the parish church of Verum parish in the Diocese of Lund. At the time of the Swedification of Skåne an important event took place here. In 1677 an exhortatory speech was given on the churchyard hill, after which several farmers signed a declaration of allegiance to the King of Sweden. Verums kyrka was the setting for the wedding of the ABBA members Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus, which took place on 6 July 1971.
