About the church
Vaxholms kyrka, named Gustav Adolfskyrkan, is a church building located in central Vaxholm.
The church is a single-nave hall church with a neoclassical exterior. It was completed in 1803 to designs by Carl Fredrik Adelcrantz and Olof Tempelman, and replaced the earlier wooden church in Vaxholm, which had been in poor condition.
