The octagonal church tower is a well-known silhouette for many people of Malmö. It is a good 30 m high, but since the high-rise buildings around it were built in the 1960s it does not seem so impressive. The church that stands here now had a predecessor with roots in the 13th century. The old church was mostly demolished in 1860. Only the porch and the tower are reminders of it.
