Valla kyrka

Valla kyrka is mentioned as early as 1320, but was probably built even earlier. The name Valla comes from the church lying between two hills, between ridges (vallar). In 1859-1861 the church was rebuilt. According to tradition, the old church was to remain standing inside the new one and be demolished only once the new one was finished. The new church was inaugurated on 29 October 1861.
