Tråvads kyrka

The present Tråvads kyrka was built in 1873 and is stylistically a mixture of Empire and Neo-Gothic. The work was led by the master builder Johannes Larsson from Varola, to plans by the architect Axel Fredrik Nyström. In 1870 the old church had been demolished, as it was far too cramped and dark. The tiny gallery in the tower was popularly known as “Rumpetråva kyrka”.
