Tolfta kyrka

Tolfta kyrka, which lies on a ridge above the river Tämnarån about five kilometres north of the main locality of Tierp, is a fine example of an older church building. There is hardly any church with such well-preserved wall paintings, and many ancient monuments in the area point to very old settlement.
