Skärhamns kyrka

Skärhamns kyrka was consecrated in 1932. Just south of the church stood the first place of worship, Bergets lokal. In 1919 a committee was appointed to collect money for a new chapel. In 1929 construction was under way. A newly formed sewing circle contributed a great deal of money every year and many worked for free. The work went quickly and already on the second Sunday of Advent three years later the church could be consecrated by Bishop Block.

The church is owned by the Skärhamn Church Association and is thus one of only two association-owned churches in Sweden.
